Sockwyrm

Characteristics: Long, limbless, tubular entities with a plush, striped texture. The colors of their patterns seem to have no limit. A completely white Sockwyrm has been observed several times. Capturing their true length has proven impossible.

Description: Sockwyrms are found solely within the Gamezone. They take on behaviors similar to garden eels on Earth through arising from ballpits found within the area. These entities typically stand silently until approached by a human or another entity, at which point they will retreat back into the pit and appear elsewhere within the area.

Their method of traversing in this way is a rudimentary form of clipping, where only a small fraction of their body length will stick out of a ballpit at any time. This gives the illusion of the Gamezone’s ballpits being much deeper than they actually are. The rest of their body is theorized to inhabit the ‘in-between space’ of Earth and the Far Plane.

Despite the lack of movement at first glance, cameras have observed Sockwyrms picking up balls that have spilled onto the floor and returning them to the ballpits. Thanks to their length, they can reach balls from anywhere in the Gamezone. There have been reports of Sockwyrms even stretching into different areas to retrieve stolen balls.
