Prancer

Location: Art Deco

Size: ~80 cm

Characteristics: Golden quadrupeds that harbor great amounts of grace and agility. In place of a neck or head, flora-like growths sprout forth just as it does across their tails. Prancers have some amount of variation in their leaf structures and patterns, leaf length, shape and size can be different between individuals.

Description: Found solely within the gaudy halls of Arc Deco, prancers blend into their environment and stick out at the same time. They strut through their habitat’s halls with only their glimmer and the faint sound of metal hitting the floor to accompany them.

When coming into contact with another individual or a researcher, they will ‘pose’ at them in varying ways. Some of these poses include rearing, cantering, and pointing. They will retain these poses from ten to fifty seconds before either changing into a different pose or disengaging. The purpose of this posing and whether or not it is a means of communication is still being researched.

While they will readily pose at researchers, Prancers will also avoid any and all attempts at physical contact. Their agility is so great that they are capable of avoiding lunges, nets, traps, thrown objects and lassos. Prancers will move away just out of reach of researchers’ holds, but will seldom flee.
