Description: Leaf Mimics were at first missed in their entirety and the Rubberwoods, their native area, was thought to be barren. It was only when fallen leaves began to move around that researchers realized that they were animate.
Leaf Mimics, as their name implies, spend most of their time posing as inanimate maple leaves, either resting on a surface or being latched onto something else. They primarily choose branches to perch on, but have been observed to use staircases and fences as well- which tends to ruin their disguise. It is nearly impossible to tell a Leaf Mimic from an inanimate leaf without very close observation. These entities hardly ever move from their spots, but may change positions for unknown reasons. They use their large membranes to glide on breezes to carry them elsewhere.
While they seemingly instinctually disguise themselves, they show no fear towards researchers that disturb or handle them. In fact they will utilize humans as perches if allowed to linger on them enough. While on researchers they are cable to utilize some form of camouflage, slowly shifting their colors to be closer to that of a hazmat suit- although this phenomena is rare.
