Fairy-light

Characteristics: Spherical entities that have no defining features other than looped structural ‘wings’ and a membrane veil that falls from the bottoms of their bodies. All Fairy-lights present as a brilliant gold color.

Description: Fairy-lights are found exclusively within Winter houses that have a Light Mimic occupying them. They never leave these houses, even when doors or windows are opened up for them. The cause of this is unknown as there is no temperature difference between interior and exterior Winter.

Within their native areas, Fairy-lights flit aimlessly, often sticking to lit areas such as lamps or Christmas trees. If there is no light present then they will coalesce around each other and typically revolve around one area.

The entities do not seem to possess a significant amount of environmental awareness as they will bump into walls, furniture, and other individuals. They are able to be held and relocated easily by researchers with gentle handling, and will resume their normal behavior as soon as they are let go of.
